Obituary of Blanche Baker

EC BAKER Elizabeth City, NC Blanche Forbes Baker, age 85, of Jarvis burg, NC, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 in Winslow Memorial Nursing Home. She was a native of Jarvis burg, NC, daughter of the late James Woodhouse Forbes and Betty Poyner Forbes. She was wife of the late Eugene Baker, and a member of Powell’s Point Baptist Church. She is survived by one niece, Betty Bordner, of Norfolk, VA and one nephew James Kelly Bordner, of Va. Beach, VA; two-step daughters, Patricia Bryant of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Shirley Outlaw of Raleigh, NC. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005, at 11:00 AM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Hemmingway officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service.
