JOHN LEONARD ‘JOHNNY’ BERRY Retired from Ford Plant John Leonard ‘Johnny’ Berry’, 56, 408 Scotland Rd., Camden, NC died Tuesday, July 5, 2005. He was born in Elizabeth City, NC to the late Leonard Forbes and Bertha Wilson Berry and was the husband of Suzanne Cuthrell Berry. Mr. Berry was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Quail Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, Albemarle Houndsman Association and was an U. S. Navy veteran. He was retired from the Norfolk Ford Assembly Plant and was presently farming with his brother-in-law, Mel Cuthrell. Besides his wife, Mr. Berry is survived by a daughter, Emily Berry Winslow and husband, Jay of Camden, NC, a son, John L. Berry, Jr. and wife Kellie of Camden, NC; three sisters, Joann Snowden of Maple, NC, Gloria Spence and husband, Mark, of Manteo, NC and Paulette Berry of Camden, NC; two brothers, Carlton Berry and wife, Louise of Chesapeake, VA and Bobby Berry and wife, Jackie of Camden, NC; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Mel and Anita Cuthrell of Camden, NC and Richard and Careen Mansfield of Chesterfield, VA. He also is survived by three grandchildren which he adored, Bianca Noelle Berry, Gabrielle Michelle Berry and Brenna Lee Winslow; also two aunts, Maritta Jordan of Elizabeth City and Annie Ruth Berry of Nags Head, NC; an uncle, C. C. Berry of Camden, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 9, 2005, at 3:00pm in the Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, Church St., by Rev. Don Carter. Burial will follow in the New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at their residence. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 E.
