Obituary of Louise Slaga

KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC LOUISE D. KUBICK SLAGA, 85, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Britthaven Nursing Home, Nags Head, NC. Before becoming a resident of Britthaven, Mrs. Slaga resided in Kill Devil Hills with her daughter, Tina and husband, Rex, and their son, Zac. Mrs. Slaga was born in Herrick, OH and was a homemaker. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hopedale, OH, and presently a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was the daughter of the late Adam and Teresa Holubeck Kubick. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Nicholas Slaga; two daughters, JoAnn T. Russell of Wooster, OH and Tina M. Sponhaltz of Kill Devil Hills, NC; three sons, Anthony J. Slaga of Nokesville, VA, Edward M. Slaga of Coral Springs, FL, and Dr. Thomas J. Slaga of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Mark Slaga, Paul Slaga, Matthew Slaga, Tracy Crane, Bryan Slaga, Chris Slaga, Renee Bright, Jon Russell, Ryan Russell, Sean Sponhaltz, and Zac Sponhaltz; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tina L. Slaga. A Funeral Mass will be held at Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo on Friday, July 22, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Father Kevin McGrath officiating. Burial will be at Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens, Manteo, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Research Center, c/o Dr. Thomas J. Slaga, 5303 Hamilton Wolfe Road, San Antonia, TX 78229, in memory of Tina L. Slaga. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
