Obituary of Gayle Hilla

Gayle A. Hilla Virginia Beach ‘ Gayle Ann Buchanan Hilla, 64, died Tuesday July 12, 2005. Mrs. Hilla was born in Canton, NC to Luther C. and Edith Swanger Buchanan. She had worked as a Registered Nurse for several years. Left behind to cherish her memory are her parents, Luther and Edith; loving husband of 14 years, Steven A. Hilla; daughters, Rebekah Harris of Elizabeth City, NC and Katherine Newlon of Houston, TX; sons, Harry Donaldson of Portsmouth, James Newlon of San Antonio, TX and Joseph Newlon of San Clemente, CA.; sisters, Nancy Blalock and Linda Day of Chesapeake; brother, Ronnie Buchanan of Chesapeake; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Faith Alive Church, 423 Shell Rd., Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
