Obituary of Charles Waters

EC Waters Charles Edward Waters Resident of Elizabeth City, NC Charles Edward Waters, 82, of 404 East Broad Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Monday, July 11, 2005 at Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Pasquotank County; son of the late George and Geneva Benton Waters and was the widower of Margaret Ann Harris Waters and Alice Hall Waters. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, a former Merchant Marine, a member of the Pasquotank Tribe #8 of the Improved Order of Red Men and the Elizabeth City Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1847. Mr. Waters is survived by two daughters, Ann Waters of Elizabeth City, NC, and Barbara Fitzhugh and husband David of Roanoke, VA; two sons, Kenneth Waters and wife Kathy of Elizabeth City, NC, and Leonard Waters and wife Paula of Camden, NC; a brother, John Calvin Waters of Elizabeth City, NC; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Waters is preceded in death by a brother George B. Waters. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 2:00 PM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Greenway officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 and at other times at the residence of the son, Leonard Waters, 131 Sawyer’s Creek Road, Camden, NC.
