Obituary of Jospeh Key

Joseph Johnson Key, age 73, of 129 Publo Road, South Mills, NC, died Thursday, July 21, 2005. He was a native of Pasquotank County, NC, son of the late Silas W. Key and Delia Ralph Key, and husband of the late Mary Ann Sawyer Key. Mr. Key served in the US Army and was a farmer. He is survived by one daughter Betty Ann Bivins of Ellaville, GA; three sons, Joseph Wayne Key, Enoch Wilson Key and Billy Wade Key, all of South Mills, NC; one sister, Frances K. Nixon of Elizabeth City, NC; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Enoch Wilson Key and Jesse Lee Key. A graveside service will be Monday, July 25, 2005, at 11:00 AM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Kelly Lacy officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, Sunday afternoon from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
