Obituary of Lizzie Garrett

EC GARRETT Lizzie May Turner Garrett, 88, of 316 West Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Thursday July 14, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Garrett was born in Amherst County, Madison Heights, VA., and was the daughter of the late Lewis Edward Turner and Aurelia Chenault Turner Cyrus. She was a member of the Reedy Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters; Charlene Fay G. McIe of Moyock, NC and Ella Mae G. Lewis of Chesapeake, VA., her sons; Clem Leo Garrett of Virginia Beach, VA and Robert Burton Garrett, Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC, sisters Mildred Cyrus Blackburn of Spout Springs, VA and Dorothy Cyrus Lankford of Farmville, VA. 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Burton Garrett and one grandson. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday July 18, 2005, at 1:30 P. M. at the Reedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Spout Springs, Va. with the Rev. John Muth officiating.
