Obituary of William Higgins

Kill Devil Hills, NC William Delbert Higgins, 68, of 136 Island Dr., Kill Devil Hills, NC, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at his residence. Born in Lancaster, OH, he was the son of Josephine Perry Higgins of Escondido, CA and the late Edward Higgins. He was a retired self employed truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Besides his mother, Mr. Higgins is survived by his wife, Janet Poplin Higgins of the residence; a step-daughter, Ricki Bittle and husband David of Chesapeake, VA; two-step sons, C.W. Waddell of Virginia Beach, VA and Ryan Waddell of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two step-grandchildren, Chad and Cory Bittle; a sister, Jacqueline Murphy of Escondido, CA; and a twin brother, Edward Higgins of Virginia Beach, VA. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, NC is in charge of arrangements.
