Obituary of John Whitehead

EC Whitehead John Carol Whitehead USAF, Retired John Carol Whitehead, age 56, of 13180 Langley Road, Bryanstown, MD, died Friday, July15, 2005 in Cheverly, MD. Mr. Whitehead, a native of Pasquotank County, NC, was the son of Louise Watson Whitehead of Elizabeth City, NC, and the late Walton Howell Whitehead. He was a retired US Air Force Computer Technician and was currently employed with the FAA in Washington, D.C. Besides his mother he is survived by a daughter, Christina Whitehead, and her finance Joe Bellanti, and grandson, Eric Lamb, Jr., all of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Janis Adams of Moyock, NC, and Dona Yunker of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother, Walton H. Whitehead of Hertford, NC; two nieces Kim Meads of Elizabeth City, NC and Lisa Y. White of Hertford, NC; three nephews, E. Carlton Adams of Chesapeake, VA, Steven Adams of Farmington, NM, and Paul Whitehead of Elizabeth City, NC. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Glenn Greenway officiating at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and at other times at the residence of his sister, Dona Yunker, 1029 Simpson Ditch Road, Elizabeth City, NC.
