Obituary of Mary P. Baggerly

Manteo Mary ‘Betty’ Patterson Baggerly, 87, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at an Elizabeth City medical facility. Mrs. Baggerly was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a member of the Roanoke Island Presbyterian Church, A volunteer for the Dare County Library. She delivered meals on wheels and was a former member of the Mount Olivet United Methodist Church and choir member. Mrs. Baggerly was the daughter of the late Dr. Frank B. Patterson and the late Viola Grove Patterson and the widow of Harrison D. Baggerly. She is survived by one daughter, Katherine Dryburgh of Murrysville, PA; one sister, Adelaide Menham of N. Huntington, PA; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Isherwood; one sister, Mildred Lambirth; two brothers, William Patterson and Frank ‘Sonny’ Patterson. A memorial service will be held at the Roanoke Island Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lori Pister and Rev. Tom Murphy officiating. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Roanoke Island Presbyterian Church, P.O.
