Obituary of Robert Cartwright

KITTY HAWK, NC ROBERT MASON CARTWRIGHT, 63, of Kitty Hawk, NC died Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head. Mr. Cartwright was a pioneer developer of the Duck area and owner/operator of Bob Cartwright Realty on the Outer Banks for over thirty years. He had a great love of life, horticulture and antiques. He was the essence of a true southern gentleman. Mr. Cartwright was the son of the late Carroll Cartwright and the late Ethel Cahoon Cartwright Cherry. Mr. Cartwright is survived by an aunt, Eva Hudson of Fairfield, NC, several cousins and a large extended family whom he cherished. A graveside service will be held at Azalea Gardens Cemetery, Columbia, NC on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jack Gregory officiating. Family will receive friends at Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo on Saturday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting with arrangements.
