Obituary of Hilda Francis

Manteo, NC Hilda Midgett Francis, 84, of Manteo, NC died Thursday, August 4, 2005 at her home. Born in Manteo, NC she was a retired cosmetologist, a graduate of Manteo High School, a member of Manteo Baptist Church and a member of Rebekah Lodge #52. She was the daughter of the late Ulysses ‘Lish’ and Evelyn Berry Midgett and was the widow of Wilmer Beavers and Edward M. Francis, Sr. Mrs. Francis is survived by two daughters, Sandra B. Robinson and husband Wayne and Deanna B. Rollinson and husband Vic all of Wanchese; a son, Eddie Francis and wife Connie of Manteo; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen M. Sears and Glenna M. Gallop and a brother, Elmer ‘Poss’ Midgett. A memorial service will be conducted at Manteo Baptist Church on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2:00 PM by the Revs. Ken Simpson, C.L. Reynolds, Ronnie Midgett, Jim Davenport, and Hines Adams.
