Obituary of Addie Jenkins

EC JENKINS Elizabeth City, NC Addie Lee White Jenkins, 77, of 1611 Penny Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, August 16, 2005, in the Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Pasquotank County, NC, to the late Alton Ray White and Elnora Rogerson White. She was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. She was a retired telephone operator with Carolina Telephone with 25 years of service, and a graduate of Central School. Mrs. Jenkins is survived by one daughter, Bonnie J. Scaff and her husband, Delane of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother, Alton Lloyd White of Eureka, CA; one grandson, Preston Scaff and his wife, Rebecca of Elizabeth City, NC; three great grandchildren, Katlyn, Michelle, and Emma; and a special friend of the family Peggy Harris of Elizabeth City, NC. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 19, 2005 at 2:00 PM. in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Mayo and Rev. Everette Harper officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will join friends Thursday evening from 6:30 PM. to 8:00 PM. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel.
