Obituary of Margaret Curtice

EC Curtice Margaret Curtice Former resident of Petersburg, VA Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Giles ‘Peggy’ Curtice, died August 17, 2005 in Elizabeth City, NC. Mrs. Curtice, a former resident of Petersburg, VA, was born March 26, 1913 in Charlotte, NC. She was the daughter of the late Joseph S. Giles and Mary E. Brightwell Giles. Mrs. Curtice has been a more recent resident of Elizabeth City, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles F. Curtice. Mrs. Curtice retired as a career employee of the Army Quartermaster Corps, Fort Lee, VA, and was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church, Petersburg, VA. She is survived by a daughter, Anne Crawford of Sierra Vista, AZ; sons, Charles Curtice, Jr., of Capron, VA and Peter Curtice of Elizabeth City, NC; and sons, Charles Curtice, III, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Robert Curtice of Charleston, SC; a sister, Mary Jester of San Jose, CA; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Three siblings preceded her in death, Charlotte Connelly, Hunter Giles, and J. Glenn Giles. A memorial service will be at Second Presbyterian Church, Friday, August 26, 2005 at 1:30 PM with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at another time.
