Obituary of Margaret Culbertson

Margaret Forehand Culbertson Resident of Shawboro, NC Margaret Forehand Culbertson, 87, of 535 Shawboro Road, Shawboro, NC, died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Winslow Memorial Home. She was born in Currituck County, NC, daughter of the late Ambrose Staples and Nora Butler Forehand and was the widow of Tom A. ‘Whitey’ Culbertson. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserves, a hospital volunteer, and a past member of the Thursday morning bowling league. Mrs. Culbertson is survived by a daughter, Elaine C. Guard and husband James of Aydlett, NC; a son, Thomas A. Culbertson and wife Collis of Redonda Beach, CA; five grandchildren, Jim Guard and wife Amy, Amy Blankenship and husband Andy, Thomas A. Culbertson, III, Gregory A. Culbertson, and Dr. Glenn Gray and wife Lisa, and three great-grandchildren, Maggie, Jennifer, and Michael. Beside her husband and parents, Mrs. Culbertson is preceded in death by two sisters, and a brother. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 21, 2005 at 2:00 PM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Stevens and Rev. Charles Wellons officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 at the funeral home and at other times at the residence, 535 Shawboro Road, Shawboro, NC.
