Obituary of Frank Smith

NS Smith Frank Smith Resident of Pasquotank County, NC Frank Smith, 82, of 400 Ferry Road, Lot 1, Elizabeth City, NC, died Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Pender County, NC, son of the late Early S. and Lorena Woodcock Smith and was the husband of Margaret Louise Tarleton Smith. Mr. Smith worked part time as a heavy equipment operator for Parks Land Development. Besides his wife, Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters, Deborah Byrum of Elizabeth City, NC, and Annette Fountain of Willard, NC; two sons, Richard D. James and wife Debi of Virginia Beach, VA, and Douglas L. James, Sr. of Richmond, VA; a sister, Frances Jeffords of Florence, SC; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 4, 2005 at 2:00 in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Greenway officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at Twiford’s Northside Chapel, Saturday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 and at other times at the residence.
