Obituary of Mary Jane Franks

MARY JANE MAFFETT FRANKS Resident of Harbinger, NC Mary Jane Maffett Franks, 68, of 158 Owens Beach Road, Harbinger, NC died Thursday afternoon, September 1, 2005, at her residence. She was born in Walton County, Georgia and grew up in Social Circle, GA. Mrs. Franks was the daughter of the late Chester Smith and Irene Reynolds Maffett and was the wife of Robert Gary Franks. She was a Methodist. Besides her husband, Mrs. Franks is survived by one daughter, Janet Melissa Franks of Virginia Beach, VA; three sons, Robert Mitchell Franks of Grandy, NC, Gary Andrew Franks of Virginia Beach, VA and Benjamin Chester Franks of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two sisters, Ruby Leigh Reeves and Sybil Patrick both of Monroe, GA; a brother, Robert Maffett of Dublin, GA; 7 grandchildren. An informal memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at 6:00pm at her residence, 158 Owens Beach Road, Harbinger, NC.
