Obituary of John “Johnny” V. Parrish

PARRISH ROCKY MOUNT, NC JOHN VINCENT ‘JOHNNY’ PARRISH, 47, of Rocky Mount and formerly of Manteo, died, Friday, September 2, 2005, in Nash General Hospital. Mr. Parrish was born in Manteo and was employed with Piggly Wiggly Supermarket. He was the son of Donis Creef Alexander and step-father Elwood Alexander of Manteo. Besides his parents surviving are one brother: Roy W. Parrish of Wanchese; step-brothers: Charles Alexander of Plymouth, George Alexander of Manteo, Troy Alexander of Point Harbor and Glenn Alexander of Grandy. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in Twiford Colony Chapel by the Rev. Russ Howard. Burial will be in Cudworth Cemetery in Wanchese. Friends may join the family on Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Twiford Funeral Home. Twiford’s Colony Chapel Manteo is assisting the family.
