Obituary of Floyd Lathinghouse

EC LATHINGHOUSE Hertford, NC Floyd Thomas Lathinghouse, age 80, of 216 Pirates Cove Way, Hertford, NC, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005, in the Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Bogalusa, LA, son of the late Ira Lathinghouse and Leona Hunt Lathinghouse Jennings. He was the husband of Betty Davis Lathinghouse of the residence. He was retired from the US Navy after serving for 20 years as a Boatswain Mate, and retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard where he worked as a painter. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Lori Ann Lawson of GA; two step daughters, Dinah Grant of Poquoson, VA, and Wanda Clifton of Creswell, NC; two sons, Wayne Lathinghouse of Venice, FL, and Keith Lathinghouse of Hollywood, FL; two step sons, Bobby Phelps of Creswell, NC, and Jerry Phelps of Jacksonville, NC; one step sister, Helen Whitehurst of Bogalusa, LA; one grandson and nine step grandchildren. A memorial service with Military Honors will be Sunday at 3:00 P.M. in Bethlehem Church of Christ with Phillip Alligood officiating.
