Obituary of Michael Jones

Manteo, NC Michael Belton Jones, 56, died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head. Mr. Jones was born in Robeson County, NC and was the son of the late George Belton and Edna Jenkins Jones and was the husband of Alma Lee Basnight of the home. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael Vinson of Wilmington; two sisters, Dianne Waddell of Raleigh and Susie Brady of Lumberton; one brother, Paul H. Jones of Nashville, NC. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Roanoke Island Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1033, Manteo, NC 27954 or the Dare County E.M.S., P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, NC 27954. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
