Obituary of Laura Everett

EC Everett Laura Lucille Crain Everett Pasquotank County Native Mrs. Laura Lucille Crain Everett, age 80, of 501 Glade Street, Elizabeth City, NC, went to her heavenly home Friday, September 16, 2005. Mrs. Everett, a native of Pasquotank County, was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Crain and Laura Nonie White Crain, and the widow of William Tatem Everett, Sr. She was a member of the Elizabeth City Church of Christ and had worked at the Elizabeth City Cotton Mill and Libby’s Hot Dog Stand. Mrs. Everett is survived by a son, William Tatem Everett, Jr., and wife Sherri Lynn, of Hertford, NC; seven grandchildren, Koren, Travis, Holly, Brandon, Diana, Michael and Cody; and six great grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Darlene Everett, two sisters, Lillian Hardin and Lula Francis Hayman; and two brothers, William Crain and George Crain. A funeral service will be Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 2:00 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with Minister Greg Biggs officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the lobby of the funeral home and at other times at the residence of the son, 117 Longdale Court, Longview Estates, Hertford, NC. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, is in charge of arrangements.
