Obituary of Elizabeth G. Rumpf

Elizabeth City, NC Elizabeth Greenleaf Rumpf, 91, formerly of 700 West Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at Guardian Care Nursing Home. Mrs. Rumpf was born in Pasquotank County, NC, the daughter of the late Louis Edward Greenleaf and Elizabeth Weeks Greenleaf. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Christ Episcopal Church Women, Yoke Fellows Prison Ministry, a retired head registered nurse of fifth floor at Albemarle Hospital; a member of the American Association of Nursing, Elizabeth City Historic Association, and an assistant professor for the College of the Albemarle’s Nursing Program. Mrs. Rumpf is survived by two sons, Russell Rumpf of Elizabeth City, NC and Louis Rumpf of La Masa, CA; a cousin, Nell Wood of Edenton, NC; and a niece, Gabe Exter of La Rosa, CA. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at 4:00 PM in the Memorial Garden at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Josh MacKenzie officiating.
