Obituary of Carolyn Neece Dawson

Carolyn Neece Dawson Native of Beaufort County, NC Mrs. Carolyn ‘Snooky’ Neece Dawson, age 75, of 800 Flora Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Monday, September 19, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Dawson was the daughter of the late Charles Hobert Neece and Ruby Pugh Neece Ferebee. She was a graduate of UNC Greensboro, a retired Elementary Music Teacher in the public schools, and a member of The First United Methodist Church where she sang in the Church Choir and played piano for the Bailey Sunday School Class. Mrs. Dawson is survived by a daughter, Renee Dawson of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two sisters, Barbara Neece Waters, and husband Steve, of Morehead City, NC, and Rebecca H. Neece of Elizabeth City, NC; and two nephews, Casey Waters of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Dr. Tracy Waters of Raleigh, NC. A funeral service will be Saturday, September 24, 2005, at 11:00 AM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. T. R. Miller officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM; immediately after the service in the lobby of the funeral home; and at other times at the residence of the sister, Rebecca H.
