Obituary of Wilbur Jones

Wilbur Jones Chesapeake ‘ Wilbur Jones, 91, of the 100 block of Hanbury Rd., died September 23, 2005. Mr. Jones was born in Tuscorora, NC and was a Clearing and Grading Contractor. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Verna Register Jones. Survivors include is wife of 52 years, Elsie M. Jones; three daughters, Sheila J. Young and Susan Jones, both of Chesapeake, and Lisa J. Randall of St. Louis, MO; one step-daughter, Marie M. Johns of Suffolk; one step-son, Roland H. Marshall of Miami, FL; eleven grandchildren and five great grandsons. Funeral services will be held at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake on Monday at 1:00 pm with Rev. John Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
