Obituary of Oscar White

EC WHITE Elizabeth City, NC Oscar Edward White, age 59, of 2364 Peartree Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Friday, September 23, 2005. He was a native of Pasquotank County, NC. He was son of the late David Earl White, and Pecola Boyce White, and was husband of the late Christa Lee McCoy White. Mr. White served in the US Army and was a Viet Nam Veteran. He was retired Civil Service with the US Coast Guard Air Station Aircraft Shop Supervisor, and was member of the First Christian Church. He is survived by one son, Edward E. ‘Eddie’ White of Elizabeth City, NC; two step daughters, and one step son; two brothers, Otah White and David Earl White both of Elizabeth City, NC; eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A graveside service will be Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 11:00 AM in New Hollywood Cemetery. The William Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060 will provide military Honors. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
