Obituary of Jimmy Lane

EC Lane Jimmy Lee Lane Resident of Hertford, NC Jimmy Lee Lane, 53, of 149 Red Banks Road, Hertford, NC, died Monday, September 26, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Pasquotank County, NC, the son of Nina Russell Lane of Elizabeth City, NC, and the late Matthew Lane and was the husband of Gail Hewitt Lane of the residence. He was a transfer driver for Bowen Trucking Company, and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served his country during the Vietnam War. Besides his wife and mother, Mr. Lane is survived by two daughters, Tammy Lane Trueblood and husband Jack of Elizabeth City, NC, and Michelle Lane Felton and husband Henry Felton, Jr. of Hertford, NC; a brother, Larry Lane of Tyner, NC; and a grandson, Anthony Lane of Elizabeth City, NC. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 2:00 pm in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. William E. Byrum officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the William Clarence Jackson V.F.W. Post 6060. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 and at other times at the residence.
