Obituary of Norma Medlin

Norma J. Medlin Chesapeake ‘ Norma Jean Medlin, 65, passed away on September 28, 2005. The angels came down , kissed her and closed her eyes after her 18 year courageous and valiant battle with cancer. Mrs. Medlin was born in Knoxville, TN. She was a seamstress, avid gardener and NASCAR fan. Survivors include her husband of 48 yrs., William Bernard Medlin; five daughters, Teresa Cantone; Linda Linney; Joyce O’Brien; Kimberly Bradley and Pamela Nabers; mother, Irene Kanipe; two sisters, Ethel Burnett and Barbara Heath; mother-in-law, Helen Medlin; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
