Obituary of Alleeta W. Meads

Alleeta Walker Meads, 75, of 174 Meads Road, Shawboro, NC died Saturday October 1, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Meads was born July 9, 1930 in Camden County, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late James Wilson and Thelma Murden Walker. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, and a former bank teller with the Bank of Currituck. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 2:00 P. M. at the Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Charles M. Stevens and Rev. Charles H. Wellons officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home 174 Meads Road, Shawboro, NC. Survivors include: her husband Carl Lee Meads, Sr. three daughters Linda M. Wardle and her husband Richard of Currituck, NC, Karen Meads of Grandy, NC and Becky Meads of Shawboro, NC; two sons Carl Lee Meads, Jr. and his wife Paula of Silver Springs, MD and Jack Walker Meads and his wife Carol of Grandy, NC; one sister Thelma W. Dunavant of Shawboro, NC; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers; James C. Walker and Albert C. Walker.
