Obituary of Mary Bass

Mary Carawan Bass Chesapeake – Mary I. Carawan Bass, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2005. Mary was the daughter of the late Rona B. and Rena T. Carawan, Sr. She was born in Norfolk County, she attended and graduated from Great Bridge High School, was an active member of the former Great Bridge Congregational Christian Church and was a retired paralegal. Survivors include her son A. D. Bass of Chesapeake. Brother; R. B. Carawan, Jr. and wife Dolly, Aunts; Rebecca T. Niven and husband Lyman C.,and Marietta C. Miller. Nephews; Rona B. Carawan,III, and his wife Susan; Marvin L. Carawan and his wife Linda; Keith W. Carawan and wife Patricia; and niece; Teresa C. Joyner and husband Howard, all of Chesapeake. A visitation will be held at Twiford Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 11:00 AM with a service following at 12: 00 noon. A private burial will follow. Her son would like to thank Dr. Ronald Atwood and Dr Eleanor DeGuzman for the loving care they gave his mother.
