Obituary of Roger Leon Murph

MURPH WANCHESE, NC ROGER LEON MURPH, 44, of Wanchese, died, Saturday, October 8, 2005, in Outer Banks Hospital. Mr. Murph was born in Washington, N.C. and was a commercial fisherman. He was the son of the late Fitz P. and Rachael Buford Murph. Surviving are two daughters: Toni Murph and Teresa Murph both of Moyock; one son: Rodney Beckner of Portsmouth, Va; five sisters: Lynne Green and husband James of Plymouth, Kim Felske and husband Fred of Wanchese, Mary (Pat) Potter and Jennifer Brooks both of Washington, N.C. and Judy Lewis of Belhaven; one brother: Spencer P. Murph of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Mr. Murph was pre-deceased by his birth mother: Virginia Brooks and a brother: C.J. Mason. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at 3:00 p.m.at the Jeanette’s Fishing Pier beach access.The family will be receiving friends at the home of his sister Kim Felske 225 Old School House Road, Wanchese.
