Obituary of Alicia Mejia

MANNS HARBOR, NC ALICIA RAVEN MEJIA, 12, of Manns Harbor, NC died Tuesday, October 11, 2005 in Mann Harbor. Alicia was born in Elizabeth City, NC and was a student at Manteo Middle School. She was a member of Manns Harbor Church of God and the Manteo Middle School Band. She was the daughter of Shelly Butler of Manns Harbor and Pablo Ocampo Mejia of Edenton. Besides her parents, Alicia is survived by a sister, Gabriela Mejia of Mexico; four brothers, Victor Mejia and Dalton Mejia of Manns Harbor, NC, Santiago Mejia of Raleigh, NC and Mauricio Mejia of Mexico; grandparents, Harold & Brenda Butler of Manns Harbor, NC; grandmother, Bacilia Ocampo of Mexico; great grandmother, Thalia Saunders of Wanchese, NC. Funeral services will be held at Manns Harbor Church of God on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Cudworth Cemetery, Wanchese, NC. The family will receive friends at Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo on Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm and at other times at the residence of Harold & Brenda Butler, 6747 US Hwy 64/264, Manns Harbor and at 6940 Old Manns Harbor Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made toward expenses, c/o ‘Our Little Angels’ Trust Fund, East Carolina Bank, Manteo, NC 27954. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
