Obituary of Valerie Romano

MANNS HARBOR, NC VALERIE JANICE ROMANO, 13, of Mann Harbor, NC died Tuesday, October 11, 2005 in Manns Harbor. Valarie was born in Elizabeth City, NC and was a student at Manteo Middle School. She was a member of Manns Harbor Church of God and also attended Harbor Light Church. She was the daughter of Eduardo Lopez Rubio, Sr. and Lora Ann Butler Rubio of Manns Harbor. Besides her parents, Valerie is survived by two brothers, Aaron Butler and Eduardo Rubio, Jr. both of Manns Harbor, NC; grandparents, Julius and Judy Butler of Kill Devil Hills, NC; and grandmother, Ofelia Rubio Cruz of Mexico. Funeral services will be held at Manns Harbor Church of God on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Cudworth Cemetery, Wanchese, NC. The family will receive friends at Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo on Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm and at other times at the residence of Harold & Brenda Butler, 6747 US Hwy 64/264, Manns Harbor and at 6940 Old Manns Harbor Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made toward expenses, c/o ‘Our Little Angels’ Trust Fund, East Carolina Bank, Manteo, NC 27954. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
