Obituary of James Jones, Jr.

James Arthur Jones, Jr., 73, of Seafarer Court, Wanchese and formerly of Upland, PA. died Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at his home. He was the son of the late James A. Jones and Anna K. Oberg Jones. Mr. Jones was owner and operator of Jimmy’s Deli on 10th Street in Upland, PA for many years before his retirement to Wanchese. He is survived by one brother, Ronald Jones and his wife Faye of Edenton; three nephews, Tom Jones and Joe Jones also of Edenton and Don Jones of Florida; one niece, Bonnie Bramblet of Florida; several grand nephews and nieces and his friend Robert Desper of Wanchese. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Elmer Slaughter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dare Home, Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, NC 27954 or the Albemarle Commission Home Delivered Meals Program, P.O. Box 646, Hertford, NC 27944. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
