Obituary of Sylvia Duncan

TNS Duncan Sylvia Loraine Smithson Duncan Pasquotank County Resident Sylvia Loraine Smithson Duncan, age 71, of 1011 Horseshoe Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Thursday, October 20, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Pasquotank County and was the daughter of the late Dillard Lorraine Smithson and Eva Onley Smithson and wife of Otis Ardell Duncan of the residence. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Besides her husband Mrs. Duncan is survived by two daughters, Connie Davis of Virginia Beach, VA, and Robin Roberts of Norfolk, VA; three sons, Randy Duncan of Elizabeth City, NC, Michael Duncan of Chester, VA, and Otis A. Duncan, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fl; three brothers, Smitty Smithson and Vernon Smithson both of Elizabeth City, NC, and Pete Smithson of Camden, NC; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM in Twiford’s Northside Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Greenway officiating. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the residence.
