Obituary of Russell Hill

Russell Elwood Hill, Jr., 78, of 1489 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died at Albermarle Hospital on Saturday, October 22, 2005. He was born in Pasquotank County, NC, the son of the late Russell E. Hill Sr. and Marina Midgett Hill and was the husband of Lynette Scaff Hill of the residence. Mr. Hill was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a member of First Christian Church. He also served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. Besides his wife, Mr. Hill is survived by two brothers, Alfred Hill of Jacksonville, FL, and Carroll Hill of Elizabeth City, NC. A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11:00 AM in Old Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Greenway and Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Scaff, 704 Briarwood Road, Elizabeth City, NC.
