Obituary of Benjamin Russell

EC RUSSELL Elizabeth City, NC Benjamin Britt Russell, age 62, of 606 Forest Park Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005, in the Albemarle Hospital. He was a native of Onslow County, NC, and was the son of Percy Russell and Elizabeth Britt Russell. He was the husband of Julia Clifton Russell of the residence. Mr. Russell served in the US Coast Guard for 27 years as a Master Chief and also worked for the Norfolk School System as a Supervisor. He was a member of the CPOA and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Benjamin B. Russell, II of New Jersey; two step daughters, Teresa Bateman of Kitty Hawk, NC, and Barbara Kay Bedard of Newport News, VA; one sister, Betsy James of Sanford, NC; four grandchildren. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, November 5, 2005, at 11:00 AM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Woodley officiating.
