Michael Aydlett was my father, from all my memories that I have of him are the best, I love and miss him, when I was with him I always felt like daddies little girl. He was kind to me and always made me laugh. my favorite memory is when I was younger we were in this appartment and he had caught crabs and cooked them homemade and we ate them then we went to swim in the pool. At night we put two chairs together and I would sleep on them. Another time I went to visit my grandma Anne was over and we had homemade pea soup and played video games and pool. I will always remember my father.

I sereved with Mike in the same divison onboard USS Fort Snelling (LSD 30) in the late 70s. He was a great shipmate and friend. He was someone that was always fun and enjoyable to be around. In 1980, I bought an orange ’70 Plymouth Cuda from him that he had built from the ground up complete with the 340 cubic inch engine, 750 Holly 4 barrel carberator, gunfighter 4 speed stickshift, traction bars and the whole nine yards. Boy did that car run! We use to go down into the NE part of NC (his neck of the woods) to fish on the weekends. I am sad to hear of his passing. RIP Shipmate, we have the watch.
