EC KROETSCH Jarvisburg, NC Joyce Sawyer Kroetsch, 62, of 7081 Caratoke Highway, Jarvisburg, NC died Friday, November 11, 2005 at the Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, NC. Mrs. Kroetsch was born May 29, 1943, in Pasquotank County, Elizabeth City, NC, and was the daughter of Eva Garrenton Sawyer and the late Roy Edward Sawyer, Sr. She was a graduate of J. P. Knapp High School, class of 1961, and a former employee of Albemarle Hospital where she was an X-Ray Technician. Survivors include: her daughter Melissa Sawyer Gergen of Point Harbor, NC; her mother Eva Garrenton Sawyer of Jarvisburg, NC; a brother Roy E. Sawyer, Jr. of Powells Point, NC; one grandson James Hunter Gergen; and a niece Lovey Ellen Sawyer. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to: The Currituck County Library, 4261 Caratoke Highway, Barco, NC 27917.
