Obituary of Henry Barbee

EC BARBEE Henry Cordell Barbee, age 81, of 1250 Lynch’s Corner Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Monday, November 15, 2005, at his residence. He was born in Rowan, NC, son of the late Henry David Barbee and Laura Ann Scott Barbee, and was the husband of Kathleen Knowles Barbee of the residence. He was a civil service worker with the Department of Defense, and was a WWII veteran having served in the US Air Force, a member of the 8th Air Force Historical Society, and a member of the Kempsville Masonic Lodge #196 Va. Beach, VA. Besides his wife Mr. Barbee is survived by two daughters, Angela Ferrell of Moyock, NC, and Nancy Barbee of Washington DC; one son, Mark Barbee of VA; five grandchildren. A funeral service will be Friday, November 18, 2005, at 11:00 AM in the Up River Friends Church with Wayne Winslow officiating. Burial will follow in the Moyock Memorial Cemetery with Military and Masonic Rites.
