Obituary of Elizabeth Harrell

EC Harrell Elizabeth Parker Harrell Resident of Elizabeth City, NC Elizabeth Parker Harrell, who would have been 92 on December 6, 2005, of 1028 Perkins Lane, Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Winslow Memorial Home. She was born in Pasquotank County, NC, the daughter of the late Tom and Lina Holmes Parker and was the widow of James Alfred Harrell. Mrs. Harrell was a member of City Road United Methodist Church. Mrs. Harrell is survived by a daughter, Barbara Harrell Owney of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Jimmy A. Harrell, Jr. and wife Becky of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Grace P. Tuttle of Elizabeth City, NC, Clara P. Winslow of Florida, and Lina P. Sherlock of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters-in-laws, Lena Parker and Ethel Parker; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by a son, Billy P. Harrell, a son-in-law, Henry Clay Owney and two brothers, Ralph and Marvin Parker. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 10:00 am in City Road United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Old Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 and at other times at the residence.
