Obituary of David Stoner, Sr.

EC Stoner David Gene Stoner, Sr. Native of Pomona, CA David Gene Stoner, Sr., age 65 of 111 Wedgewood Drive, Moyock, NC, died Friday, November 18, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Stoner was a native of Pomona, CA, and the son of the late Earl Edward Stoner and Opal Viola Clark Stoner. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of Viet Nam, worked with Lantz Towing, and was a member of the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department having served for thirty-five years with the Currituck Emergency Services. Mr. Stoner is survived by a daughter, Davett Stoner of Moyock, NC; three sons, Edward Stoner of Suffolk, VA, David Stoner, II, with the U.S.A.F. in Germany, and Chris Stoner of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Robert Stoner of Simi Valley, CA; and eight grandchildren. A funeral service will be Monday, November 21, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with full military honors provided by the Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060. Burial will be in Moyock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
