Obituary of John Leary

John Bradley Leary, age 73, of 149 Gregory’s Lane, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005, in Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Camden County, NC, son of the late John Bray Leary and Margaret Baker Leary, and was the husband of Marie Hunter Leary of the residence. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and was a former employee of Waste Industries. He worked for the Embassy Milk Company of Newport News, VA, for 20 years, and was a member of the Perquimans Lodge 106 AF & AM, the Sudan Shrine Temple, and the American Legion. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Marianne Creef and her husband Martin of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, Norman Bradley Leary and his wife Tracey of Camden, NC, Johnny Wayne Leary and his wife Susan of Elizabeth City, NC; two step daughters, Sheila Richardson and her husband Howard of Pell City, AL, and Patricia Ann Eason of Hertford, NC; two step sons, John Abbott Morse of Sunbury, NC, and Donald Wesley Morse and his wife Christy of Hertford, NC; two sisters, Nina Curlings and Sally Kitts both of Chesapeake, VA; two brothers, Royce Leary of Gibbs Wood, NC, and Preston Leary of Camden, NC; sixteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. A funeral service with Masonic Rites will be held Saturday, December 10, 2005, at 11:00am in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, with the Rev. Alan Gibson officiating. Entombment will be West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service in the lobby of the funeral home.
