I found this funeral notice of the death I believe of the grandson of Josiah H Wescott. I’m sorry to hear of the loss of a member of this family. I volunteer at Chicamacomico and have been searching for a member of Josiah’ s family who might have a photo and information about him. He was Captain Joe and under the harshest conditions dedicated several years service to the Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station. It seems that his grandson was also very valuable to his community. In my research about the keepers of the Lifesaving Stations it is not unusual for their family members to dedicate their lives to service to their communities. I am grateful for your family’s contribution to their community.
