Obituary of Jean B. Hayes

Southern Shores, NC Jean Bunton Hayes, of Southern Shores, NC died Thursday. November 15, 2007 in a Norfolk hospital. Mrs. Hayes was the widow of the late Charles J. Hayes, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Hayes were natives of Pittsburgh, PA. They came to live in Virginia Beach, where they operated Cavalier Nurseries, before moving to Southern Shores. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Princess Anne County, Virginia Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Hayes is survived by two sons, Charles J. ‘Mickey’ Hayes, Jr. of Corolla, NC, Michael Edward Hayes, Sr. of Southern Shores; and one grandson, Michael Edward Hayes, Jr. of Manteo, NC. Memorial services for Mrs. Hayes will be private. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
