Obituary of Levina Mae Hayden
HAYDEN, Levina Mae ? 91, Manchester, Guysborough Co., died Wednesday, December 31, 2003, in Green Meadows Nursing Home, North Grant.
Born in Manchester, she was a daughter of the late Harding and Carrie (Myers) Hull. She was a former postmistress in her home for eight years prior to rural route mail delivery. She was a member of the Boylston United Baptist Church, a life member of Baptist WMS and long-standing member of the Port Shoreham UCW. She was also a founding member of the Bayview Senior Citizens Club, Boylston and former organist for the Manchester Baptist Church and Manchester United Church.
Surviving are daughters, Shirley (Fred) Clark, Beaver Bank; Pearl Logan, Toronto; Ruth, Riverview Adult Residential Centre, Riverton; Ruby (Dan) Duguay, Truro; Grace (Sandy) Murray, Truro; son, Grant (Geraldine), Manchester; sisters, Lottie Imlay, Boylston; Florence Campbell, Glen Keen; brother, John Hull, Manchester; grandchildren, Sharon, Kevin, Sonya, Trevor, Sarah, Blair, Heather and Edmund; great-grandchildren, Adam, Jonathan, Brenna, Christopher and Brent. She was predeceased by husband, Everett; sister, Dorothy Simpson.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Saturday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday in Guysborough United Baptist Church, Rev. Freda MacDonald officiating.
