Obituary of Teresa Vinnie DeCoste
Teresa Vinnie DeCoste, 86, Frankville, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish.
Born in Cape Jack, Antigonish Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Christina (Brow) DeCoste. She was a seamstress and a member of St. Paul's Parish, Havre Boucher, and a former member of the CWL, a member of Havre Boucher Senior Citizens Club and Antigonish Bridge Club. For many years, she collected for March of Dimes.
Surviving are daughters, Pamela Phillipsen, Whitehorse, Yukon; Sandra DeCoste (Peter Clarke), Bedford; sons, Francis (Irene), Ottawa; Wilfred (Peggy), Carl (Jean), Gary (Donna), all of Havre Boucher; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; grandson, Glen DeCoste; sisters, Mary Henry and Evelyn Bodean.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in St. Paul's Centre, Havre Boucher. Funeral mass will be held 3 p.m. Friday in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Father Alex MacLellan officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
