Obituary of Teresa Louise Bernard
Teresa Louise Bernard, 71, of We'koqma'q First Nation, passed away Thursday, July 15,2004, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck, after a long and courageous fight with cancer.
Born in Wagmatcook, Nov. 6, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Louise (Stevens) Francis.
Teresa was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, We'koqma'q.
She is survived by husband, Noel J.; daughters, Patricia (Neil) MacRury, Pamela
(Brian) Toney, Lindsay and Heather, all of We'koqma'q; Sons, Christopher, Gerald (Catherine), Winston, Kevin (Darlene) and Rodney, all of We'koqma'q, Dale (Sharon), Afton, and Barry (Eleanor), Eskasoni; sisters, Nannette Olsen, Wagmatcook and Annie Joe, New Hampshire; brothers, Edward and Francis, both of Wagmatcook; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Katie and Isabelle, brothers, Benjamin and Steven.
Visitation will be after 2p.m. Sunday at the family residence, 8745 Highway 105.
Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Fr. Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in. the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh.
