Obituary of Catherine Ida 'Katie' Bissonnette
BISSONNETTE, Catherine Ida 'Katie' - 85, Port Hawkesbury, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004, in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in MacIntyre Lake, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Mamie A. (MacQuarrie) Perrin. She cooked for many years at the Schooner Restaurant and the Cabot Grill, Port Hawkesbury. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, also visits with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Joseph's parish, Port Hawkesbury. Surviving are son, Louis (Sadie), Port Hawkesbury; grandchildren, Louise MacEachern, Robbie and Juanita Bissonnette, and great-grandchildren, Tyson MacEachern and Jordan Bissonnette, all of Port Hawkesbury; sister, Stella Mae Killam, Extended Care Nursing Home, Kingston, Ont.; a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; brothers, George, Stanley and Russell; sisters, Margaret Ferguson and Anna Belle Burke.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. this evening, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m., both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Father Bill Crispo officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
