Obituary of Edward Joseph Sampson

SAMPSON, Edward Joseph ? 87, River Bourgeois, Richmond Co. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 20, 2005 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in River Bourgeois, he was a son of the late David and Agnes (Sampson) Sampson. Edward was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish, River Bourgeois. He was employed by PPG, Halifax, for over 42 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Florence, sons David (Glenda) River Bourgeois, Paul (Debra) Toronto, John (Carolyn) Milton, Ont., Peter (Tammy) Stratford, PEI, daughters Louise, Halifax, Linda (Fred)Gogan, Hammonds Plains, Joan (Charles) Wilfong Georgetown, Ont ; also survived by brothers Peter, Leo ; sister Dorothy, and 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers James, John, Lawrence, Anthony, Murdock and Alfred, sisters, Edith, Muriel and Mary Agnes. Visitation will be Thursday 7-9 Friday 2-4 and 7-9, River Bourgeois Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 23rd 10:00 AM , St. John the Baptist Church, River Bourgeois, Rev. Duncan MacIsaac officiating, interment in the parish cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of Strait Richmond Hospital for their kind and caring support during our difficult time.
