Obituary of Roseanna Morris

MORRIS, Roseanna - West Bay, Cape Breton, passed away December 16, 2004, in Strait Richmond Hospital after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Caroline (Parsons) Stoyles. She was a former employee of the Bank of Montreal and at the time of her retirement, she was employed at Central Guarantee Trust, Port Hawkesbury. She enjoyed swimming, quilting, painting and spending time with her family, especially enjoying her young grandchildren after her retirement. She is survived by her husband, Melvin; sons, Gary, Bradley (Brenda); daughter, Gayle (Ken) Anderson; grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah, Amanda, Jennifer, Lindsey, Caroline; sister, Shirley Jessome, and brother, Leroy, both of Mira, Cape Breton. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Audrey MacNeil (Glace Bay). Visitation will be Saturday from 6-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury with funeral service Sunday, December 19, at 2:30 p.m. in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Port Hawkesbury, Rev. Michael Conrad officiating. Burial in Lime Hill Cemetery.
